Yeah I know I'm slacking but there has been so much going on I've not had the time. I am currently working on a chronicle of my travels over the last 3 months (it'll be 3 months by the time I get back) and will post it prior to my returning to the States (currently in Beijing)
To summarize:
* June 8th & 9th: (2 days) New York meeting for work with potential client
* June 9th to 11th: (3 days) Boston bachelor party for my friend who's getting married in July
* June 11th: Back to New York to catch my flight back to LA
* June 12th to 23rd: (12 days) Los Angeles
* June 24th to July 3rd: (10 days) Beijing, China for work
* July 3rd to 7th: (4 days) Seoul, Korea for work
* July 7th to 10th: (3 days) Los Angeles (this really just became a 3 day pit stop to do laundry before I head off to Boston again.)
* July 11th: (1 day) Boston pit stop prior to going to the wedding (Liz came with me for this one.)
* July 12th to 16th: (5 days) Block Island, Rhode Island (wedding on an Island off the coast of R.I.)
* July 16th to 18th: (2 days) Back to Boston to chill with Family and catch a Red Sox game
* July 19th to 26th: (7 days) Los Angeles finally home in my own bed with my own pillow...ahhhh. But not for long!
* July 26 to present: (so far, 7 days) Back to Beijing for work with an, as of yet, undetermined return date. I was given exactly 23 hours notice to pack and make arrangments to be gone for at least 3 weeks. My plane ticket says my return date is Aug 28th but I have a feeling it'll be more like the first or second week in Sept.
So here I am in my hotel in China listening to Alkaline Trio on my iPod and typing away as I realized I should be documenting this unbelievable few months.
There's only been a few minor nightmares, like getting into Seoul and finding out that no one was there to get me at the air port and not only that but there had been no arrangements to have someone come and get me or set me up with a hotel or any kind of accommodations. Lucky for me i knew one person that was in Seoul at the time and he helped me get on a bus and into the city by taking to the bus driver with my cell phone. I think he said something like, "Hey, the big stupid white guy that just gave you his phone needs to get into the city. Hook 'em up." But I'll get into the details more with an upcoming post.
Later.
